Hello from Texas

I made it safe and sound to Texas. The flights were OK, but I felt myself getting airsick on each one. Part of this could have been because I hadn’t had coffee for two days at home, (I had the worst caffeine headache) and part of it was probably because I was excited and nervous at the same time. I’m going to try and hit a GNC down here and get some ginger pills. I’m still feeling a little off, but I think Aunt Flo is playing a major part in all of this. And the suspect UTI could be playing a supporting role. (And it’s hotter than hell here and despite my vow not to bitch about it, I just had to mention it. It’s friggen hot. 95 and humid hot. I packed lots of capris and thankfully threw in some sleeveless shirts. But I’m gonna have to get some more shorts.)

But I’m gonna pop a few Tylenol (yes, Liann, I’m gonna suck it up and pop some drugs) and enjoy the day.

I haven’t seen much of Fort Worth yet, except for a Sonic when we stopped to grab a bit last night. That teaspoon of peanuts just didn’t curtail my appetite. (I shit you not, it was a teaspoon.) Sonic is so neat. It’s like an old-fashioned drive in. You order from your car, like you do at the window at McD’s and they bring it to your car. Fabulous. I wanted to take a picture, but I saved Allie the embarrassment. So I had a burger and tarter tots (uh huh, instead of fries you can have tater tots) and we headed home. Allie’s pugs are so sweet. Angel is well, an angel, Jessie is a petite little spitfire and Bello is a clown! They all greeted me at the door and they loved me even more when I revealed treats for them from the Three Dog Bakery. I forgot their flossies in CT though. Bad Auntie Sam! So I’m getting lots of pug loving.

I do miss my smoosher, but Grandma said he’s doing fine. He slept in with Auntie and now he’s keeping an eye on the neighborhood from her picture window. He’s a good little watch pug.

OK all, I have to get ready for the day. We have plans to meet some PVers at Fudrukkers, then some shopping and such and tonight we have a steak dinner planned at a great steakhouse. The name escapes me but I will give you all details about the great cow I had. Yee-Haw!
